Shikhara and Carl’s Braxted Park fusion wedding
I am so honoured to be a recommended supplier at Braxted Park. I have photographed lots of weddings at this stunning venue so I always love getting to be back there, especially with weddings like this one last summer. A stunning fusion of two families and their traditions. Shikhara’s dad however gets my award for being the most helpful guest/dad. They had lots of family that was really important to them all for photos but her dad had it beautifully organised so their groups were done so well! In typical summer 23 style we were worried about the weather but for the whole reception the weather was beautiful and when it was predicted to rain during golden hour we snuck out for photos earlier so we still go some evening light before the rain started.
What did you love working about with me?
We loved working with you because you were so calming and reassuring!
Neither Carl or myself are very comfortable taking photos but we felt so at ease and you made every photo opportunity so much fun. You also helped us loads in the planning process and used your expertise to advise us on timings for the day (but were also totally flexible to adapt depending on the weather)
Although we did the golden hour shots much earlier than planned, they are absolutely perfect.
What were your favourite parts of your Braxted Park fusion wedding?
– Definitely seeing each other for the first time as I walked up the aisle and seeing how emotional Carl was.
– The confetti walk was amazing. Being able to see all our friends and family all lined up straight after the ceremony. We were worried we didn’t have enough but there was plenty!
– Amazing food from Kochi Kitchen, we loved that we could incorporate Indian culture into our day through the cuisine and everyone said it was the best wedding food they’d ever eaten.
– The speeches. Everyone did such an amazing job, with lots of love and laughs.
