Marquee wedding in Cambridge

It feels appropriate to post this blog today of Lauren and Jonny’s Marquee wedding in Cambridge, as this wonderful couple are both Junior doctors. I honestly believe all doctors and nurses are our modern day saints. I have been lucky to have the benefit of the NHS with my son Jack and I really do think its an amazing thing, we should cherish.

There wedding was pretty epic to (like the NHS). A Marquee wedding in Cambridge, in the grounds Jonnys parents home. His mum and dad had ensured the gardens looked absolutely amazing, making the perfect backdrop and its safe to say everyone had fun. Jonnys Grandmother doing a reading was one of my personal favorite moments, but there are just so many to share. Planned by the super talented Monet events and weddings – the rest of their epic suppliers are at the bottom of this post! Over to Lauren to tell us about their day and working with us…

Firstly what did you like about working with me?

We loved how relaxed and comfortable you made us feel. You really took the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted our wedding photos to be like. This really came across in the photos – they were so natural and even more amazing than we could have dreamed of.

We also really appreciated your expertise and ideas of how to make time for photos during the wedding day without us feeling like we were missing out on the party!

Which were your favourite photos and why?

Our favourite photos were the evening photos in the field and the sparkler photos at the end. It was so lovely to have a few minutes to ourselves when we did the evening photos, and Julia really captured the quietness and intimacy of this moment. Also the light in these photos was so beautiful!

The sparkler photos were something we wanted to do from the very start and they were everything we hoped for. They remind us how fun that moment was, with everyone laughing and joking around!

And tell me about your favourite memories (it can be more than one) of the day?

There are too many favourite moments to choose from! Walking back down the aisle and seeing all our guests smiling at us. Listening to the amazing speeches by our family and friends. Our first dance and, of course, dancing the night away with everyone until we couldn’t stand anymore!

Julia and You photographed our wedding in September and we honestly could not have asked for anyone better. She took the time to understand exactly what we wanted for our photos and made us feel relaxed right from the start. On the day she was not only professional, but incredibly warm and friendly. She was able to plan in time for the photos in a way that meant they didn’t intrude or take us away from the party for long. My husband especially was dreading having photos taken, but Julia made us feel so relaxed that he actually said after he enjoyed it!

The photos themselves were stunning, we could not believe how amazing they were! Julia uses the light in such an clever way and her pictures are truly unforgettable. All our friends and family loved looking through them, and so many people have commented on how natural and beautiful they are.

We would absolutely recommend Julia and You to anyone for their wedding, we could not have wished for anyone better!
