Gaynes Park wedding photography
This weekend the beautiful Gaynes Park is having an open day, we sadly cannot make it but I was so chuffed when I saw they had used a few of Stephanie and Sonny’s stunning portraits to advertise the event. Gaynes Park is always a favourite, especially as Michelle got married there herself so she particularly loves it. Set in the grounds of a historic country estate which has been in the Chisenhale-Marsh family for generations, its London skyline and breathtaking grounds make it the perfect photography backdrop!
Stephanie is actually a wedding planner herself at a top wedding venue, so she has seen hundreds weddings and I knew her day would wow. It is always an honour when someone picks you to photograph their wedding but extra special when they work in the industry themselves, as you know they have looked at lots of peoples work over the years! Thank you for picking us!!
Over to Steph to tell us about it all…
What’s your favourite moment
- Walking down the Aisle – I thought I was going to be so nervous and instead I was so happy chatting away to my Dad and as I saw Sonny for the first time, I thought about the first moment I met him 11 years ago and thought to myself how proud I was of how far we had come together and how lucky I am.
- Entrance to the Meal – Just before we made our Entrance for the Meal, we got a chance to catch a glimpse of our guests without them knowing we was there. It was so lovely standing with my husband and watching our guests take their seats and seeing how happy everyone was.
- First Dance – I’d pictured this moment for months – we had a few practises but nothing too serious. On the night, we were completely winging it but we just had so much fun and was smiling from ear to ear. It was lovely looking round at all of our guests doing the same and cheering us on. |
- Last Dance – Sonny being a Liverpool FC Supporter, chose the last dance song of You’ll Never Walk Alone. We wasn’t sure how it would go down with many of the Spurs Supporters in the room (being Liverpool had just beat them in the Champions League Final). All of our guests joined us on the dance floor and we came together in one big circle and we all sung our hearts out. I took a moment to look at every single guest that was there with us and it meant the world to us seeing how much everyone was enjoying it. No-one was ready for it to end especially me who ended up in floods of tears that it was all over. All happy tears though!

We were just about to board our flight when we received the highlights and we were blown away by the photos. We loved every single one. There was me sitting in the airport screenshoting as many as I could before we had to go – the 11 hour flight didn’t seem so bad that I could sit and look through the photos over and over again! The day we received our full gallery, we sat at home and I don’t think there was one photo that we didn’t love. You had captured every moment so perfect and we will always be grateful for you. Thank you for giving us so many beautiful photos to treasure!
And a few more…
