Amber and Brad married at the glorious Gaynes Park on a beautiful Summers day – the sunshine really giving us it’s best! As we strolled around the grounds, we spotted some fantastic places for some lovely fine art photography portraits – and with grounds as beautiful as the ones at Gaynes Park, it would be rude not to!

      The Venue

We love shooting weddings at Gaynes Park – especially as Michelle (my assistant photographer) got married there!

Generally, when we photograph weddings at Gaynes Park, couples opt for the bride to get ready in the cottage. Amber though, opted for Brad to be in the cottage and she got ready in the Coach House, with her mum and bridesmaids. With its grand windows and beautiful garden out front, the coach house was perfect for photographs of them all getting ready and before the service.

The venue was expertly styled by the fab team at Mediterranean Occasions; I especially loved the lace chair covers! Assortments of white flowers and green foliage really added to the elegance of the day, and the skilled team at Luke and Lottie Floral really went all out to deliver such stunning florals!

      The couple

The wedding was a real family affair. Lots of Amber’s family had helped them with the big day, but I have to say I was particularly impressed that her brother and his husband had bought her amazing Louboutin shoes as a wedding gift!

I absolutely adored Amber’s strapless Maggie Sottero gown. The beading details were just dreamy, and her veil added the perfect finishing touch to an updo crafted by the wonderful Charlene Corner. Simplicity and style was definitely a theme here, and was reflected perfectly by the faultless make-up done by make-up artist Cara Gould.

A Note From Amber & Brad

The thing I loved most about my wedding, apart from marrying my childhood sweetheart, was seeing all the elements I had loved choosing come seamlessly together on the day. The day was perfect.

Using Julia and You was such a right decision. Before the wedding, I had two Skype calls with Julia and felt she was enthusiastic and straight away understood exactly what my wedding style was.  Both Julia and Michelle helped us feel at ease, in the morning and throughout the day. Their unobtrusive yet efficient manner meant that I have hundreds of beautiful photos, so beautiful I  cannot choose a favourite! I love them all.  I feel the magic of the day was really captured. So many people have commented that they look like they have come straight out of a magazine shoot which is amazing to hear. I could not recommend Julia and You enough.
