Emma and John had such an intimate and joyful day – marrying at their local church and then, later on, moving the party to Emma’s parent’s garden! But not just a wedding happened on this day! Emma and John also managed to weave in the christening of their daughter, making the day extra special.

It was such a beautiful day, as most of this summer was; the kids all played in the garden and field, while their parents enjoyed the summer sunshine and good food. A perfect day.

      The Venue

When Emma and John came to see me, they explained their vision for an intimate wedding. They both wanted a relaxed party, in Emma’s parents’ garden; something beautiful to treat all their nearest and dearest and celebrate their love for each other.

With beautiful landscapes for the couple’s fine art wedding photography portraits, I just knew we would get a corker of a sunset when the time came around!

      The Couple

It was such a dream to capture Emma and John’s wedding day. We were treated with such gorgeous light as the day drew to a close and the beautiful, wide open landscapes were really something to behold.

Emma and John’s day was filled with family, light and love, something so evident as I captured photographs of them all throughout the day. The whole celebration felt intimate and personal.

Emma’s gorgeous wedding dress was from the fab The White Wedding House in Brentwood and was designed by Cizzy Bridal, an Australian designer. John was rocking a bespoke suit by Johnathan Loe from Faustus London. Emma’s beautiful bridal bouquet was crafted by the fab team at Abridge Florist – the colours of the roses were just too dreamy!

A Note From Emma & John

We wanted our day to be laid back and for our family and friends to feel at home. Our main aim was that no one would go hungry or thirsty! It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, especially the kids. We’re still astounded at how quickly the entire gin supply was consumed!

We were pretty much set on Julia & You from the photos we saw on their website. Then, when we met, Julia gave us the confidence she knew exactly what she was doing and wouldn’t be intrusive on the day… plus, she gave us biscuits! Specialising in children’s photography was also a benefit as we knew she’d get the best out of the kids – and she certainly did.  Julia’s support on the day was invaluable, she kept us all on track, including calming our 6-year-old son by recruiting him as an assistant!

If you’re looking for a luxury wedding photographer, who can capture beautiful memories of your day and provide fine art photography prints for you to treasure, then get in touch – we would love to hear from you!
