Shaun and Matt’s Blake Hall same sex wedding

I had met Shaun a while before he told me about his wedding plans, as he’s Blake Hall’s very own gardener, and what a garden that is. This is the guy responsible for making it the frankly breathtaking space that is, ensuring that the gardens look amazing EVERY season. I have photographed weddings at Blake Hall most months and they really do make sure each season is unique but stunning. From the Wisteria late spring and early summer, the daffodils early spring, flower fields in the height of summer, blossom in Spring, autumnal leaves and stunning roses in Autumn. You cannot beat this garden.

Shaun has worked on their gardens for over a decade (Ive been photographing them for over a decade too!), like so many of their team who have been their a long long time, its a sign of how they are as a venue. They are like a family, one I love very much. So I was over the moon to be the one who they picked for their own celebrations last Autumn. I loved that we got to sneak off to areas you might not normally see (tomato plants in the greenhouse which of course only means something to Shaun, but was so much fun to photograph!)

1. What were your favourite moments from your wedding?

Our favourite moments from the wedding started with the party popper exit, as the scary part was done! Disappearing for a few photos straight after was a good way to have a few moments to collect ourselves before the autumn leaves confetti shot, which is one of our favourite pictures from the day. We also really enjoyed going into the blake hall gardens and some of the secret areas for pictures and getting the quad bike included. We also love the evening pictures on the dance floor, we loved the whole day but these are some of the highlights that stand out to us Working with you was a pleasure. You managed to get 2 people who can be quite awkward to relax and actually enjoy having their picture taken! You really managed to put us at ease, and we love the results. You were also very good at interacting with all the guests, even getting camera shy Linda to have her picture taken!
