Nicola and Billy Scottish inspired Gaynes Park wedding

When Scotland came to Essex for Nicola and Billy, planned meticulously by the amazing Mary at weddings by Mary. I loved how their family dog walked down the aisle to their outdoor ceremony and their old dog has a floral tribute by Stock Florist in the Gaynes Park gardens. The entertainment by Drums and Roses (bag pipes with attitude were simply epic!). In the evening I got every photographers dream, the perfect golden hour so we took a walk across the fields behind Gaynes Park towards the sunshine, before more dancing naturally. I loved getting to know your amazing family and friends and capturing it all for you!

1. What were your favourite moments from your wedding?
1. Favourite moments definitely had to include the little bit after the ceremony that was just us. Taking that time in the middle of the chaos was such a special moment. And of course the sparkler shots with our wedding party followed by the party. We love a dance!
2. What did you love about working with me and or what did you love about your photos?
2. What’s not to love? You made us feel so comfortable and were so welcoming towards us. We are not used to being in front of the camera and it was something we were both feeling nervous about. However, that quickly faded with how lovely you were. We were able to be our usual selves and really felt like we were just surrounded by a friend! We were able to laugh and joke which on your wedding day I think is so important because it can be super stressful leading up to it! You were also very knowledgeable which I really appreciated and were so open to any ideas we had, incorporating them into our shots.
Our photos hugely exceeded our expectations which I did not think was possible. capturing not just us but our guests as well in such a lovely way. You really captured every part of our day and for that we are so grateful.
3. What tip would you give future couples?
3. To just enjoy it! The day goes so fast and before you know it, it’s all over. Enjoy the small moments and definitely take time to just be with your partner. It’s your day and should be spent together. Don’t worry about the little things, what’s important is you get to marry the person you love, surrounded by people that love and support you.
