Gaynes Park wedding in August
Alex and James got the perfect day for their Gaynes Park wedding in August last year. After a bad start to the summer, they had an outdoor ceremony under the Gaynes Park pergola, decorated with fairy lights and bunting made from extracts of Alex’s favourite book. She made the bunting herself and it was strewn across the trees too. She also created paper flowers amongst the table displays just to make it more personal. I do love it when couples add little things to their day that are so unique to them.
Nichola Bespoke celebrant ceremonies held the service under the Gaynes Park Pergola and added so many personal touches to her reading. It was lovely for everyone to hear Alex and James’ love story. Although James did joke that she’d stolen his speech (which was brilliant later on before dinner) . The dinner was perfect as always, great speeches to start it off, beautiful food then the amazing singer, Curtis Skinner, really got the party started. Before dancing we headed out for a stunning golden hour (always my favourite time of day). Then the party really kicked off. Thank you so mcuh for having me be a part of your epic day!

What was your favourite part of your Gaynes Park wedding in August
The walk down the aisle and our ceremony because we got to tell our story via our wonderful celebrant. The setting we chose in the pagoda, with the wild flowers and hanging book heart garlands made for the most whimsical and beautiful photos. We also had the time of our lives during the wedding breakfast when the singer came out and got every single guest up singing and dancing!
What did you love about working with me?
Your attention to detail and ability to “get” us, it felt like you truly cared about everything that we cared about. Not just as photographer but I think I’d just come to rely on you so much with your knowledge of the venue and what I hoped and dreamed of for the day!!

The best decision we made for our wedding!
Julia was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We found her via Instagram after seeing she had photographed at our venue previously and fell in love with the style of her photos. We arranged a zoom call and I just knew she was the photographer for us. She just seemed to get it / me and all the silly things I had built myself up to say (e.g. that I had a favourite side of my face for photographs!!).
After booking we received a beautiful little thank you gift and card through the post – which was a lovely touch.
Julia was so incredibly helpful and responsive on the run up to the wedding. We had another zoom call to run through details and the order of the day – which was SO helpful. And she very kindly sent me ideas of how to decorate / make use of the spaces at our venue. She even put me in touch with one of her previous brides to rent her giant “guess who”garden game! She went above and beyond as a supplier and this was all before any photo was even taken!!
On the wedding day – Julia was wonderful. She was such a calming presence and a joy to be around. At this point it was like she was more of a guest than a supplier!! I trusted her completely.
She truly captured every single detail and special memory of our day. Our highlight album came out within a few days of the wedding and blew us away. Then the full album arrived and we were on cloud 9 again. She took literally hundreds of photos and captured moments we didn’t even realise we had had until seeing them.
Julia was more than just a photographer, she was also a wedding planner, creative director, storyteller, advisor and friend.
I cannot recommend her enough. Get her booked, you will not regret it. Thank you!!
