Best places for wedding photography at Gaynes Park
From group shots to couple shots to golden hour and sunset, as a Gaynes Park recommended supplier I am fortunate enough that I have photographed lots of weddings at Gaynes Park. My couples often ask me where are the best places for wedding photography at Gaynes Park. So I wanted to put together this little guide on some of the spots you can have couple shots and group shots.
Your first moments as Mr and Mrs.
After your wedding ceremony, most of my couples walk back down the long walk from the Orangery through the garden and through the stunning iron gates to the Walled garden. Your guests can then be greeted with drinks as they leave the ceremony and line up by the gates for your confetti moment. But whilst they are getting their drinks its the perfect time to capture those first moments at Mr and Mrs in the Walled Garden. Its the perfect time for couple shots too as guests are busy lining up and you arent missing anything!
Group photographs
After that confetti moment I usually suggest (but its up to you) we do group photographs. Its the perfect time as you will get to chat to those nearest to you in the group and we can get them done so you can enjoy the party. You can of course also do some groups before the service with your girls outside the cottage or the boys outside the coach house. And if the weather means large groups dont want to stand outside, the Gather Barn is the perfect mix of daylight and space but protected. But there are so many places you could pick for your group shots, which do you think you’d pick?
Lets take a walk
10-15 minutes before all the guests head over to the Mill Barn we will take a walk for some more photographs, its the perfect time so you don’t miss too much reception time and the guests will be getting ready to sit and have dinner, giving you extra time for couple moments. We can head back to the Walled Garden, to the stunning driveway with its iconic hanging tree or under the gazebo or inside the Orangerys garden. Or under the conifer arch, or the cane plants on the drive. I really am spoilt for choice with locations. Whats your favourite?
Golden hour
Golden hour is the hour before Sunset. Sunset itself is often too late for those golden photos but you can get a pretty horizon. Of course we live in the UK, so we might not always get a golden hour, but at the side of Gaynes Park where the horizon opens up to farmlands often we get the prettiest golden hour and sunset. I cant move when that hour is but we wont be out for an hour only 10/15 mins so we will pick the best time during that hour that suits your schedule! I always chat through golden hour times during my timing chat with my couples around 2-3 months before your wedding.
Of course there are all the other moments inbetween too! I really am lucky to get to photograph the stunning Gaynes Park lots.
