Amber and Ross got to finally have their Autumn Braxted Park wedding, after planning a spring wedding, then winter, spring then finally Autumn they got to say I do in front of all their family and friends and it was such a special day
Can you give me a little review, what you loved about working with me and the photographs?
Not used to being in front of the camera, naturally both Ross and I were feeling a little nervous about how we would react to being behind the lens. Julia and Michelle completely put us at ease from the moment they turned up at the wedding venue, it was like having to close friends by your side to walk you through the day.
Their presence really put as at ease, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was on track, we were where we needed to be at the right times, whilst simultaneously navigating us around the grounds and making sure we had time to be with family and friends. Everything felt so effortless, there wasn’t any pressure being in front of the camera. We had complete faith in Julia, we were able to totally relax and just enjoy the day with her guidance. There is so much we would never have thought of that she had completely anticipated.
We particularly loved Julia’s fine art style. The photographs of our day are so detailed, the colours so rich, the shots framed so beautifully, and those caught moments so breath-takingly. We particularly love the garden photos for their colour, capture of the light and the stunning way the flowers and plants are framed around us. Your photography style is so creative and elegant.
What are your favourite memories of your Autumn Braxted Park wedding (it can be more than one) ?
One of our favourite memories of the day is the shots that we took with my dad’s beautiful car. Straight after the ceremony we headed off for these and Julia made the moment feel intimate and special. We had spent the whole morning nervous and apart from one another. Ross and I were feeling excited that we were finally heading down the aisle.
Julia swept us away after the ceremony so we could finally have some one-on-one time. Leading us through the courtyard to see my dad’s car in front of Braxted house, which we had yet to see. It meant a lot to us to have his custom built, one of a kind, car showcased in front of the house. My dad has always done so much for us both and having it as the backdrop to so many of our photos is something we will cherish forever. Two of our favourite photos was captured at this point, a moment in between shots, of Ross helping me to carry my dress. It perfectly represents the atmosphere of the day and then the breath-taking veil shots in front of the house, which felt so fun to do.
Another favourite moment was after dinner. Ross and I eagerly went outside to do some couple shots at sunset. We had a gorgeous backdrop with the golden hour, and Braxted’s amazing grounds. We will always remember that moment and how much it made us laugh. Ross had whispered something in my ear and the photo of my reaction captures it wonderfully. Whilst we were outside, we also did some sunset dancing. No-one else was around and it felt intimate as we swayed to the music of our band, which we could hear warming up. I think this was a welcomed distraction for Ross as his speech was coming up and made for gorgeous photos of such a private and romantic moment.
