Garden Marquee wedding
Katie and Hugo, with lots of help from their parents and Tim and his amazing team from Apollo Event consultants created the most magical wedding reception in the grounds of Katies family home. A stunning garden marquee wedding, although not just a marquee but a marquee with chill out room, a stunning bar area, separate dining and reception and dancing marquees all combined into one. Not just any garden, Katie’s mum had cultivated a beautiful wildflower walkway as well as a lake area and lots of beautiful weeping willow trees. IF that wasnt enough there was the most amazing fairground carousel to keep guests entertained too. Katie and Hugo really had thought about it all. Starting at their local village church, transported in the best vintage cars, but most importantly surrounded by everyone they loved just after restrictions lifted making it a party to remember for all of us.

If I could go back and live every moment again, I would! The day really was everything we could of hoped for and more. Out of all of the lovely memories, I think some of my favourites have to be arriving at the church with my parents and my bridesmaids and the excitement/butterflies of knowing everyone was inside waiting! Then, of course, walking down the aisle with my husband after saying “I Do”, hearing the church bells and seeing all of our friends and family ready to cover us in confetti.
It is almost impossible to pick my favourite memories from the reception but a really special moment was taking a quiet walk with my husband through the wildflowers followed by the ceilidh (Scottish dancing) which, after a long time of being “social distanced”, felt almost surreal and went on until the (not so) early hours of the next day. It was such an incredible day and I’m so grateful to have all of the amazing photos captured by Julia and Michelle to remind us of it.
And a little review about working with us…
I couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos! Julia and Michelle captured all of the special moments so beautifully and were so easy, relaxed and lovely to have around. I really appreciated that they also captured lots of the little details and moments with friends and family which Hugo and I didn’t necessarily see and which made it a really special experience when looking back through all the photos.
Julia was great to work with from the beginning, especially given the situation with Corona, and was so kind moving our date a number of times. We received our photos back very quickly and then she helped us with the design of our album too. We absolutely love all of the photos and the beautiful album, thank you again Julia and Michelle.
