Fanhams Hall wedding

Yesterday Rock my wedding featured the stunning Fanhams Hall wedding of Courtenay and Tom! I am always excited when they feature one of my weddings, I know how excited the couple will be too. I know Courtenay was a massive fan of their wedding blog. If you would like to see their blog head over to Courtenay and Tom’s Fanhams Hall wedding Rock my wedding link. The couple actually found me via Rock my wedding which is pretty epic too!

      THE DETAILS

The wedding was last summer, and Courtenay and Tom brought the summer inside with their amazing blossom tree lined aisle. Courtenay herself is an avid instagrammer and pinterest lover so I knew that her wedding was going to be epic before I arrived, but even more so than I imagined. Every little detail was thought out and not just by the bride. From her Riki Dalal dress, (Lady Macbeth and it looked breathtaking) the pretty hoops the bridesmaids were carrying, the lollipops on the table. Their amazing flowers (the staircase coming down from the ceremony was epic), the blossom trees, the prosecco wall, the stunning cake. They had it all for their Fanhams Hall wedding.

      THE EMOTION AND SURPRISE

I could go on and on. But I think the two moments that really got me smiling and almost crying with joy. First Tom as he saw Courtenay walking down the aisle. Pure love and adoration. Then to show how much she meant during the speeches he had arranged for Sophia Ragavelas from the West End to come and sing for them at their Fanhams Hall wedding. Over to Courtenay to hear what she thought about it:

“It would absolutely have to be when Tom surprised me with the west end star, Sophia Ragavelas, coming to sing some of my favourite musical songs!!! In his speech, he started talking about my love for musicals and then said ‘without further ado, I’d like to introduce Sophia Ragavelas from the West End’ and I actually couldn’t believe it!!!! She sang Defying Gravity from Wicked, I Dreamed A Dream from Les Mis and Don’t Rain on My Parade from Funny Girl and the reaction from everyone was amazing! People were singing, swaying their arms, up on their feet and clapping, our niece Matilda was even dancing! It was such a magical moment that I’ll remember forever.”

      SPECIAL VENUE

Fanhams Hall wedding’s all have extra special touches for their day, and Courtenay and Tom got to join in the tradition of adding a rose bush to their walled garden. As Courtneay said…

“We got to plant a rose bush in the grounds of our venue! We got to choose the colour of the rose bush prior to the day and we chose white as I had white roses in my bouquet.
On the day, we got taken away during the drinks reception to plant it (I say WE but Tom did all the hard work!) and got to put a plaque beside it with our names and wedding date on, so that we can always identify it as ours. It was such a lovely part of our day and we love that we can always go back to see it!”

ADVICE FROM. COURTENAY FROM HER FANHAMS HALL WEDDING

“1. Don’t give too much away before the day actually comes. When I found my dress, I showed it to quite a few people and that’s something that I regretted as soon as I had done it.

      2. Give yourself enough time to plan so that you can enjoy it and not stress!

      3. Realise you’re going to spend a fair amount of money anyway so don’t hold back – you have one wedding so just spend on the things you really do want!”
