As the end of January fast approaches I still cant believe we are in 2019, our diary is filling up incredibly fast – and so is 2020 which sounds even more like a date from a galactic future.

And to start off 2019 I got some exciting news…. we have been nominated as UK wedding photographer of the year which is BEYOND epic. It would be amazing if you had time to click here and vote for Julia and You in the photography category : https://www.hitched.co.uk/awards/vote/#Best-Wedding-Photographer

2018 was another memorable year for Julia and You fine art wedding photographers – we have literally travelled across the world and the country, celebrated with the most EPIC couples, witnessed love stories come true and captured their first family heirlooms that may well be shared with grandchildren in the far future. I think that is pretty cool. After all what we do is preserve those memories that are so important forever. Once a day is gone, it is gone forever, and I have been overwhelmed by all the amazing reviews we have had from our couples this year. It means the world to me.

It become even more apparent to me this year just HOW important those photographs are. I sadly lost my own dad suddenly this year, he was only 63 and I never imagined at the end of 2017 that I would never get another birthday or Christmas with him. As I type this I can see a photograph of my dad and me at my own wedding day, only 8 years ago but seems like a lifetime now. I am so glad when it came to our own wedding – photography was equally important to me as it is to all my couples.

So after a sad tale, this blog post is here to celebrate all the lovely couples* who we got to celebrate with in 2018, you all mean the world to us! Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Now grab a hot drink (its too cold outside) and have a watch of just a teeny tiny amount of what we got up to this year…
