Sheila and Vinoy’s Mauritian destination wedding photography
Sheila and Vinoy tied the knot on a stunning beach overlooking the Indian Ocean at La Ravenne, Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort in Mauritius
As the snow starts to fall here I am very excited to share this beautiful Mauritian destination wedding from Autumn last year. Help us all dream of sunnier climates. Michelle and I were very fortunate to be picked by Sheila and Vinoy as their destination wedding photographer, thanks to the extraordinarily talented planner team at Louise Perry weddings.
Their wedding was actually a two day affair, but for this blog post I am just sharing their white wedding, but their spectacular Indian wedding is coming to the blog tomorrow
The Venue
Paradis Beachcomber resort is nestled on the edge of Mauritius, a hidden gem found thanks to Louise and Natalie’s (of Louise Perry weddings) amazing venue scouting work. La Ravenne is located in a secluded corner of the resort, so once Sheila and Vinoy’s guests were there is truly felt like they were only ones on the island. The ceremony overlooked a isolated beach, and whilst no beaches in Mauritius are private they had this little part to themselves without another soul around. Which was pretty special for us for their couple photographs on the beach, which was miles of empty white sand. We truly were spoilt as whilst the views of the beach and sunset stunned guests in one direction when you looked back inland the Mountains dominated the horizon. It truly is Paradise
Once the evening came and dinner was served, with Louise and Natalie’s expert styling the venue looked like something out of a movie. It truly had the wow factor
The Proposal
Sheila and Vinoy met at work many years ago, but it wasnt until a friends wedding at Puerto Vallerta in Mexico, that he was inspired to tie the knot. Im sure with as equally a spectacular sunset as the ones in Mauritius as a backdrop, he hid the ring on a rock as he got down on one knee and then asked me to look at the Gecko behind me on the rock. There were tears, it was totally perfect!
Notes from Sheila and Vinoy
The best part of the celebrations, for us, was having our friends and family with us on the beautiful island of Mauritius. Instantly everyone got on and created a bond over the week which helped create a really relaxed atmosphere. We loved dancing under the stars at beachcomber and said right from the start we wanted the reception on the beach!
