Laura & Dominic married at The Priory, a beautiful rural wedding venue in Hertfordshire.
The beautiful bride is a good friend of my sister’s; I met her years ago when they lived together in halls! Laura tells me she has followed my work for many years, which is lovely – and when she said she’d told Dom years ago that she knew I’d be her wedding photographer one day, I was incredibly touched.
Being a part of anyone’s wedding is a blessing, but being at the wedding of someone you’ve known for years is extra special. Plus, my sister and her husband were guests, which made the day especially fun for me!
The venue
The Priory is a rural wedding venue with a difference: The team there really focus on the importance atmosphere – which they say comes from individuality (The Priory encourage couples to add personal touches, helping them create their own dream wedding) and guests…
The individuality element certainly worked well for Laura, who is super creative as she’s a fabric and wallpaper designer with her own business, Laura Felicity Design, working on some amazing commissions.
And, as for the guests, Laura & Dominic’s guest list really did make for a wonderful collection of people, who all created an awesome atmosphere, all day long!
Weddings at The Priory take place in the heritage barn, which is surrounded by gorgeous landscaped grounds – all of which were Laura & Dominic’s for the day! We got some beautiful fine art photographs of Laura & Dominic in the grounds and loads of luxury wedding photographs inside the beautiful venue, too. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed, rural wedding.
The couple
Laura & Dominic are childhood sweethearts and met whilst at school – since I’ve know them I’ve always found them to be the sweetest couple. We had their engagement shoot last November and I really enjoyed spending time with them – and their lovely dog!
Having been together for 15 years, many of the their guests have always know them as a couple (as I have) and every one was so behind them and their marriage. It was beautiful to see how invested their friends and family are in their happiness.
