Hannah and Edward married at the picturesque Coltsfoot Country Retreat, in the depths of the Hertfordshire countryside. Just like much of the Summer of 2018, that July day was gloriously warm, and filled with lots of sunshine to challenge us while capturing Hannah and Edward’s celebrations! The sunshine also to granted us gorgeous sundown images in the evening; this wonderful couple really did have the dream wedding weather!

We were able to work alongside the lovely video team at Mrs Mashup to help capture the magic of Hannah and Edward’s wedding day. This was the first time we’d worked together, and we already can’t wait to do it again!

      The Venue

Coltsfoot Country Retreat is nestled in the beautiful Bulls Green hamlet, surrounded by acres of glorious Hertfordshire countryside. Coltsfoot has a field of Llamas, which were super cute and kept the guests very entertained in the evening!

Light bathed the fields as we strolled around the grounds for Hannah and Edward’s luxury wedding photography portrait session. The location was just beautiful!

      The Couple

Hannah and Edward were the first of their group of friends to get married, so it was such an exciting day for everyone there. Hannah told me when she booked how important her wedding photography was; she was worried that this might put off a photographer, but I told her that made her my perfect type of bride!

I only take a limited number of weddings a year, and every wedding is so important to me. I love sharing ideas and hearing about plans, and I knew from the get-go that Hannah and Edward’s wedding would be a blast!

Hannah looked a vision in her Naomi Neoh dress – with a beautiful train and delicate lace detailing, finished off with an elegant ribbon around the waist. Hannah’s bridesmaids also looked a dream in their blush purple dresses, with hues of the dresses incorporated into the blush pinks of the bouquets, expertly arranged by the wonderful Annie Smith (who happens to be Hannah’s Auntie)!

After the ceremony, Hannah and Edward were whisked away in a gorgeous vintage car, waving to their guests as they left in serious style.

As the day ended, Hannah and Edwards’s guests rallied up in the photo booth provided by the fab team at PicMe Photo Booths – giving them a little instant memory of their night!

      A Note From Hannah

      About the day…

The whole day went by in a blur and we loved every single second of it! Seeing all of our closest friends & family together for our special day was such a unique and incredible feeling. For all the planning & preparation that went into it, I was blissfully oblivious to all of the details and just enjoyed every second from start to finish. My favourite moment was standing at the back of the church, catching the first glimpse of Ed waiting up ahead of me and seeing everyone in the church for the first time, the butterflies & excitement I felt at that moment was so wonderful – I just couldn’t wait to get there and marry him!

      About Julia & You…

From the moment I spoke to Julia on the phone for our first ‘meeting’ I knew I was going to be in safe hands. I felt instantly at ease with her experience & understanding of what I would like to achieve with our photos. I mentioned pretty early on how important the photographer was to me, and warned her that among my close family & friends I have a reputation for being incredibly picky & fussy about photos. Julia wasn’t phased, and I knew from then she’d do a wonderful job.

The photos really speak for themselves, we are completely blown away by them! And Julia has gone above and beyond to ensure that I am happy with the final edits. I honestly cannot thank her and Michelle enough for the care and attention they put into the day. And with such subtlety – I had so many guests compliment me on how wonderful they both were. It’s a good thing when your guests see the photos and say ‘I didn’t even realise she was there!’

I couldn’t recommend Julia & You enough, such a fabulous duo, and I personally am beyond grateful to Julia for providing such amazing service from start to finish –  despite weddings being her work, she goes out of her way to make you feel like yours is the most important. What more could you want!
