The wonderful Kirsty and Jack married at the picturesque Hedsor House, a stunning Georgian mansion located just a stone’s throw away from London.

The golden hour that weekend was AMAZING! For me, golden hour can help make a wedding, but with the views across the countryside, you can truly appreciate how beautiful it is. We managed to find some beautiful and relaxed spots for some fine art photography amongst the lavender in the grounds of the glorious Hedsor House.

I was also thrilled to have the fab Louise Shrigley capture alongside me as a videographer for the day! Kirsty and Jack really will be able to re-live every part of their day, with magical fine art and luxury stills and a captivating and moving (quite literally) video!

      The Venue

Hedsor House is a real favourite; it is so elegant, and the staff are all lovely to work with. The grounds were breathtaking, and guests were astonished by the scale and grandeur of it all as they approached the venue.

Hedsor House was voted Vogue’s top wedding venue a couple of years ago, so we were in fashionable company throughout the day – and with the extra glamour of Kirsty and Jack, everyone knew the day would be one that they would never forget; luxurious, fun and filled with love.

I love the mezzanine balcony that surrounds the dancefloor, with every wedding it’s always great to have something different and unique to a venue. I also loved the fact the cake had its own area – centre stage at the bottom of the grand staircase – so all the guests could admire it at its full luxury.

      The Couple

I first met Kirsty at her AMAZING salon in Upminster; I have been going there since moving to the area – Kirsty and her team are the best!

Kirsty blew me away in her wedding dress – the detailed beading and the stunning, draping beaded back was just mesmerising. And to top it all off, her exquisite flowers from the fab team at Seventh Heaven florists who incorporated a beautiful palette of pristine whites and dusky champagne tones in Kirsty’s bridal bouquet, along with her bridesmaid’s flowers as well, matched the luxury of the venue and the day as a whole.

I am so thrilled to have worked with such a wonderful couple to capture their day – filled with special fine art wedding photography moments, basked in glorious light and surrounded by the wildflowers that filled the gardens.

      A Note From Kirsty

We loved having our friends and family all together. At one point we walked along the grounds of Hedsor House and looked back towards our guests. At that point, we both felt extremely proud and overwhelmed that everyone wanted to see us get married.

The morning of the wedding I would have been lost without Julia. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was where they were meant to be in time for some morning photos. Both Julia and Michelle made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Jack and I worried we’d feel self-conscious and awkward for the photos, but we felt at such ease we actually really enjoyed it! The photos have exceeded our expectations, and we are thrilled we chose Julia & You to capture our big day.
