Many of you may or may not know I fell in love with photography way back when I was a teenager then my amazing art teacher, had the faith in me to put me forward for a photography A-level (I was the only one in the school who took it) and I always loved the magic of not knowing with film and it being just as it was. One thing I was always fascinated with was double exposure, it just has an ethereal quality. With the dawn of digital photoshop of course tried to “recreate” the style. But for me it was never quite the same, the control just never really looked right. Then with the launch of the Canon Mark 3, it gave me the ability to create double exposure – using manual settings and manual focus in camera. And frankly I love it!!

Of course my full time day to day work is wedding photography and baby photography, so used it a few times at weddings and engagement shoots last year, but I wanted to do something personal, so Ive persuaded our niece Sian to be my “muse” and made her stand in the rain today, before heading to the local florist. I adore flowers so using them is a must for me, anyone who saw photographs of my wedding knows how much I love flowers I couldn’t pick just one as I love so many varieties. I cannot wait for spring when the florist will be filled with peonies, dahlias, hyacinths, blossom trees lining our road. And hopefully it wont be raining next time Sian! Let me know what you think…
