When I chatted to Jane about what she would like to do for her engagement shoot, she knew the location almost straight away, Canary Wharf. James and her were on a work night out there when both of them realised they quite liked each other, fast forward to Easter 2012 and we decided it would be the perfect location for their styled shoot.
Most people know that in the week Canary Wharf is busy, make that very busy! At weekends there are a fair amount of shoppers so I knew we had to pick a day which was likely to be quieter than usual. So we picked Easter monday, which is probably the first mistake we made. When is Easter monday ever sunny?
When the day arrived, the rain came down but we decided not to let it spoil our fun… and it really didn’t! We were all VERY wet and I had a bunch of different coloured brollies to keep them dry but also use as fun props. My favourite was their own umbrella – which added the blue skies we had hoped for on the day that never came.
The irony is the next day the sunshine came out, and I chuckled to myself. Either way it didnt spoil our fun. You can see the smiles to prove it…
Looking forward to their June wedding at the lovely Friern Manor, Brentwood, Essex.
