This weekend Michelle and I were super local as our wedding was literally down the road (which certainly makes a change for me) with the beautiful All Saints Church in Cranham, Upminster then onto Top Meadows Golf Club. Anna and Tom have been planning their day for two years and it was pretty perfect. I loved the brights of her flowers and little personal touches (Anna made her own wedding cake and the gorgeous teacup cup cakes!).
As it should be, their service definitely sticks in my mind as a favourite part of the day, they had 1 Corinthians 13 as a reading, which is very popular, but when the Archibishop gave a sermon on what love in the passage really means it really struck a chord. Despite 10 years of photographing weddings I hadnt realised in Greek their were so many words for love, but in this case Corinithians refer to Agapé – and all encompassing love that requires nothing in return. I think it makes that reading even more apt, and will make me smile that bit more everytime I hear it.
Thank you for having us be part of your day, and until the rest are finished here is a little sneek peek…
