"I had been flicking through Instagram when I spotted Julia’s photographs and was completely blown away. When I showed Gordon, we knew we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. We just loved the natural and romantic feel (it was the first thing we booked after the venue, and the fact the date was available meant it was fate!).

On the lead up to the wedding we got to know each other over face time, calls, emails and our engagement shoot, and so when it came to the actual day it was just like seeing an old friend! Julia and Michelle made us both feel so relaxed, on the lead up and on our wedding day, and were just amazing with all of our family and friends.

We are totally in love with all of our photos. Julia captured all of the emotion, snapping moments that we wouldn’t have seen and it’s been so much fun looking back at reliving the day."

“Julia and her team photographed our friend’s wedding – we barely noticed them there photographing the day, but then saw the beautiful pictures we knew we had to see if they were free for our wedding! Luckily Julia was free for our date!

“Julia was great at running through all the admin ahead of the big day, so that on the day everything ran smoothly. She arrived nice and early on the day and put everyone at ease right away – everything was captured so subtly and beautifully. Throughout the day Julia captured our couple shots and group shots in a timely manner, so we were not away from our guests for long at all. We felt completely relaxed around her and, for a couple that aren’t great at posing, she gave us great direction and put us at ease the whole time.

“Our ‘previews’ arrived a few days later while we were on our mini moon, which was so amazing and so special. The rest of our photos arrived around 3 weeks later and we couldn’t be happier with them if we tried. Every single moment was captured beautifully. "Using Julia and You was such a right decision. Before the wedding, I had two Skype calls with Julia and felt she was enthusiastic and straight away understood exactly what my wedding style was. Both Julia and Michelle helped us feel at ease, in the morning and throughout the day. Their unobtrusive yet efficient manner meant that I have hundreds of beautiful photos, so beautiful I cannot choose a favourite! I love them all. I feel the magic of the day was really captured. So many people have commented that they look like they have come straight out of a magazine shoot which is amazing to hear. I could not recommend Julia and You enough."

"We were pretty much set on Julia & You from the photos we saw on their website. Then, when we met, Julia gave us the confidence she knew exactly what she was doing and wouldn’t be intrusive on the day… plus, she gave us biscuits! Specialising in children’s photography was also a benefit as we knew she’d get the best out of the kids – and she certainly did. Julia’s support on the day was invaluable, she kept us all on track, including calming our 6-year-old son by recruiting him as an assistant!"

"The thing we loved most about our day was the ceremony. Saying those vows to each other was the most powerful thing and knowing that everyone in the room is on your side and loves you. Overwhelming.

“Julia is absolutely amazing. If you’re thinking of booking her don’t hesitate as she honestly made my wedding day. You spend so much time with your photographer so it’s important to have someone that you’re happy to spend that much time with and my husband and I were asking her to stay on for drinks with us at the end of the night! I was a bit of a perfectionist with the finer details of my wedding and was probably a nightmare to deal with at times because I had a million ideas (and Pins on Pinterest!) but Julia was always so helpful and helped me refine ideas that I had. On the day she helped not only with organising people for group shots but also just general wedding experience e.g. it was her that explained all the timings and how the day would run! Invaluable if you don’t have a wedding planner. She also kept my somewhat camera shy husband happy throughout the day as he isn’t a fan of a posed photo – he ended up loving it!

Michelle was also amazing and had to deal with my now husband greeting her in his pants at the door(!) on the morning of our wedding but she didn’t bat an eyelid, was so helpful to him and the groomsmen and made his morning much easier (as I’d given them quite a few jobs to do!).

Most importantly we are so in love with our wedding photos, and will 100% be coming back for any future occasions. I’d never use anyone else!

I never thought I would be able to have a wedding that rivalled the ones in the magazines but the photos you took were so stunning I look at them sometimes and forget they were of my wedding and not some stylish magazine shoot!
