Blake Hall Recommended supplier
Blake Hall is one of the first wedding venues I photographed in Essex. I moved to Essex from Hertfordshire when I met my husband over a decade ago. I fell in love with him but also this amazing county. Its not far from where I loved before really but Essex is one of the friendliest places and it is very much home.
And Blake Hall is the epitome of that, the staff have hardly changed (with the exception of the lovely Austin retiring) Dave who runs the catering team has been there for such a long time (and his food is amazing), and several of the planners have too. It just goes to show how lovely they all are, and when I work there they make me feel like part of the team and always look after me. I know they are the same with all their couples too and their guests. It really is a lovely place to work.
BUT not just that its stunning to photograph too. From the beautiful barn where you can say I do with its huge glass facade (giving you the best possible light for your photos) to the walled gardens and the weeping willows overhanging the water. And if you’re lucky enough to get married at just the right time, the wisteria wall is breathtaking.
I am back at Blake Hall in March and I have lots of weddings there in 2024 and 2025. Ill be at their wedding show in May 2024 as a Blake Hall Recommended supplier too – so cant wait to meet more of their couples!

From the moment we met Julia, both my husband and I felt comfortable and reassured that we would be in the best hands. We are both usually so awkward in front of the camera, but with Julia’s guidance, we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves and it speaks volumes in the pictures.
When Julia and Michelle arrived, it felt like we had known them both for years and were part of our wedding. They were an absolute dream, working extremely well with the venue and our videographers, taking the lead on timings to make sure we didn’t miss anything and allowing my husband and I to have a few moments alone. All of our guests commented on how kind, friendly and professional they both were and we could not agree more!
We still can’t believe the amazing photos they captured on the day and were blown away with the amount of beautiful pictures we have to choose from. A year on and it is wonderful to remember all of the small details of our wedding captured in the photographs.
We could not recommend Julia enough to any couples looking for a wedding photographer, she is fantastic!

I cannot recommend Julia highly enough. We booked with her in 2019 before our wedding was cancelled due to covid and she was so supportive throughout until our wedding finally took place in April 2023. Julia was fantastic at organising us and communicating before and during the day and she used her expertise to ensure we had the best photos possible. The little touches such as sending us a preview within days of the wedding and sending a gorgeous box with all the photos on a USB as well as a download link for anyone to access felt so special. The photos themselves were so much more than we could have hoped for, I don’t know how we’ll choose which ones to print as they’re all fabulous! Thank you Julia! ❤️❤️

“Julia is absolutely amazing. If you’re thinking of booking her don’t hesitate as she honestly made my wedding day. You spend so much time with your photographer so it’s important to have someone that you’re happy to spend that much time with and my husband and I were asking her to stay on for drinks with us at the end of the night!
I was a bit of a perfectionist with the finer details of my wedding and was probably a nightmare to deal with at times because I had a million ideas (and Pins on Pinterest!) but Julia was always so helpful and helped me refine ideas that I had. On the day she helped not only with organising people for group shots but also just general wedding experience e.g. it was her that explained all the timings and how the day would run! Invaluable if you don’t have a wedding planner. She also kept my somewhat camera shy husband happy throughout the day as he isn’t a fan of a posed photo – he ended up loving it!
Michelle was also amazing and had to deal with my now husband greeting her in his pants at the door(!) on the morning of our wedding but she didn’t bat an eyelid, was so helpful to him and the groomsmen and made his morning much easier (as I’d given them quite a few jobs to do!).
Most importantly we are so in love with our wedding photos, and will 100% be coming back for any future occasions. I’d never use anyone else!
