Should I have a pre-wedding shoot?

When booking your wedding photography one of the options you have is whether to have a pre-wedding shoot. There are lots of questions you can ask each other to work out if you should have a pre-wedding shoot?

      Never had professional photos

Who does? Sometimes you might with work, but as a couple most of us havent have professional photos. Its a fun chance to get to know me and have some lovely photos of you as you are (usually engagement photos tend to in more relaxed clothing)

      Dislike photos friends take

How many times have you seen friends photos and squirmed. I know I have, I like photos from a certain side. Good news is after years art directing for magazines and even longer posing couples at weddings I am used to getting you at the right angle whether you have a pre-wedding shoot or not. But again you can have a real insight into how I see you before the big day with a prewedding shoot

      Shy in front of cameras

More people say they dont like photos than ever say they love them. Most of us are a little self conscious, so having a shoot before the day helps relieve those nerves

Love photos and want to look your best

But equally if you LOVE photos its a great chance to do something different before the big day. We can do shoots in the countryside, or in the city, Ive even done shoots at the beach

Lots of photos to use on the day, on a wedding website

Once you have your gallery you can use them for guest books, or decorations on the day. Or just to frame at home before you say I do and get your wedding photos

Not sure what to wear… I’ve created a pinterest board to inspire you click here to see it

Every year I do mini sessions I did a few during the Christmas break but I have another session on February 10th, I have a couple of sessions left so if you fancy your own prewedding you can book one of the mini sessions at a discount. Whilst these are not actually any shorter than my usual pre-wedding sessions, they are discounted as I will pick your location (10th February is at St Dunstans in London) or you can opt for a session at a location of your choice later in the year.
