This weekend I had the honour of photographing two weddings, both were so much fun yet so different. I kicked the weekend off with Alex and Ennio’s Shendish Manor wedding. They are extra special as Alex is the cousin of my sister’s husband (which sounds very removed but we’ve all always got on so well we are like one big extended family). Made even lovelier because my niece was flowergirl and nephew was pageboy, which certainly meant lots of extra giggles for me, and being silly with them both.
Their whole day was a little different as it was a celebration of two families and cultures coming together. Alex met Ennio when he went to Japan to work, and Ennio was studying, as Ennio is from China and family and friends travelled half way across the country to be with them. They incorporated lots of Chinese traditions including stealing the bride and tea ceremony. The day was filled with giggles made louder by the hilarious antics and traditions.
